is a campaign to disseminate the UV Violet Spaces among new students during the Welcome Week.

Introduction

This activity is ideal for you if you are interested in feminism and the defence of women against sexist aggressions.

Students from all FORTHEM partner universities (different from UV) may apply.

The selected incoming students from the FORTHEM Alliance will work with local students in: 
•    designing the actions to dynamise the information points of the Equality Unit. 
•    participating in the welcome fairs, one per campus.

The activity results in 25 hours of work per student.

There are 3 places available, in total for FORTHEM eight partner universities’ applicants.

Funding

There are 3 to cover part of the travel, accommodation and living costs of the selected students. Please contact your home university to find out about the procedures.

• Your application will be checked for eligibility at your home university, and the final selection will be done by the University of Valencia. Results will be available in the beginning of September.
   

Selection criteria

•    Motivation
•    Registered Bachelor students (year 2/3) preferred, but also open to Master students
•    All academic areas
•    Preference: students not previously engaged in a FORTHEM mobility or an international exchange
•    Good English skills (B2 or higher)Selected students will be confirmed at the beginning of September

Objective

The objective is to carry out activities related to disseminating preventive resources in the field of gender violence and male chauvinist violence at UV.
During one week, the team of volunteers will be focused on the Welcome Week programmed by the SEDI (UV Information and Promotion Service).
Taking advantage of the huge success of the Welcome Week, you will visit the different UV campuses and locations to reach as many students as possible.  
The selected students will spend some mornings working with other volunteer students supporting the information points on the campuses and dynamizing the student groups with different proposals of participation. Their inclusion may easily foster the connection with foreign students visiting the information desks.

Welcoming visiting students

Special attention will be paid to the reception and escorting of students from the FORTHEM Alliance visiting the UV fair, by appointing specifically designed volunteers who will be closer to them at all times.
