Extra application round to become a tutor for international students is now open! Application round ends on 2 July.

Duties of the tutor, training and reward
The main duty of the tutor is to help international students settle in a new country, city, and university. In addition, the tutor helps international students get acquainted with the student life of the university and to connect with other students.
A mandatory tutor training is organized to prepare tutors for the tasks. The main duties of a tutor last normally for a month after the arrival of students. Student tutors are also encouraged to assist international students throughout their studies at the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥. Tutors get reimbursed for the hours spent on tutoring (normally 14 euros/h, max 30h). First-time international tutors can also get credits from tutoring.
Selection process
The selection will be based on the applicant's international experience, motivation, possible activity in a student association (e.g. ESN, IDESCO, or the Subcommittee for International Affairs). Good command of English is required. In addition, working knowledge of Finnish is seen as an asset but not required. We try to arrange the tutor groups so that the tutor and the students are studying in the same faculty.
Selected applicants for international tutors are invited to a written interview in Webropol. Webropol opens on 4 July at 9:00 and closes on 5 July at 23:59.
