Educational Leadership – towards common goals at school

Educational leadership is usually the responsibility of head teachers, school administrators and principals. The people running the school must have a good understanding of both the strategy of the institution and the daily lives of the students and teachers.
“School leaders work with a wide range of stakeholders, like students, parents, teachers, and policy makers. They must also be up-to-date on legislation and regulations on education. Therefore, a competent leader needs diverse knowledge and skills,” says Minna Nykopp, a university teacher of educational sciences at JYUOpen.
