REDCap is a secure web-based tool for conducting electronic surveys. It is available for both students and researchers at the university. Whenever sensitive survey data is collected from subjects in a study, REDCap is the tool to use.

A versatile and secure tool

REDCap is suitable for the collection of all types of personal data, including special categories of personal data and data with a high level of confidentiality. It is available for both undergraduate studies and research. REDCap can be used for short one-off surveys as well as for longitudinal data collection over several years. The data collected is stored on the university's own secure server. REDCap is designed for collecting the data – study-time storage and analysis of the data, on the other hand, take place in other suitable JYU services. Personal access rights to the software are ordered via a HelpJYU form and are valid for the duration of the student's study rights.
