Departure orientation on Wed 26 and Thu 27 April

The International Office will organize a departure orientation on Wednesday 26 April and Thursday 27 April for all outgoing exchange students and students completing an internship abroad during the academic year 2023-2024. The orientation will cover the most important practical matters outgoing students need to take care of before the exchange, during the exchange and after the exchange.

  • 14.00 - 15.30 Country specific orientations – JYU students who have been on student exchange will share their experiences. Participants will divide into country/region specific groups. Please notice that we are unfortunately not able to organize a separate group for all the countries.
    NB! Country specific orientations will be organized on campus only, not in Zoom. More country/region specific groups will be updated to this website if/when we receive more former exchange student participants.

Cannot make it to the orientation?

The sessions will be recorded, apart from the country specific orientations. The recording and slides of the event will be available after the orientation on this website. NB! The recordings will be available until 17 May. 

In case you miss the orientation, please study the departure check-list where we have listed the most important practical things concerning your study abroad period.

The next departure orientation will be organized in October 2023. For those who have been nominated for the spring semester 2024, we also recommend taking part in the orientation on 26-27 April because e.g. the country specific sessions will not be organized in the October orientation.
