 (CNS) is a network established by a group of eight universities. Teaching within the framework of the network is developed, produced and coordinated by the Ruralia Institute of the University of Helsinki together with the other participating universities. The university network was established in 2005 and offers multidisciplinary, web-based courses related to the co-operative sector and social economy.

Sustainable business practices (5 cr)

24.10. - 31.12.2024

     This course covers economic, social, and environmental responsibility in various business models, practices, and contexts, for example limited companies, cooperatives, social enterprises, public and hybrid organisations. The diversity of business operations and key features of different business models. The opportunities and challenges provided by different business models in creating societal welfare and stakeholder value.

     Taloudellisten, sosiaalisten ja ympäristövastuukysymysten kytkeytyminen liiketoiminnan käytäntöihin ja konteksteihin erilaisissa liiketoimintamalleissa ja tilanteissa: esim. osakeyhtiöt, osuuskunnat, yhteiskunnalliset yritykset, julkiset ja hybridiorganisaatiot. Liiketoiminnan monimuotoisuus ja eri liiketoimintamallien keskeiset piirteet, sekä niiden tarjoamat mahdollisuudet ja haasteet yhteiskunnallisen hyvinvoinnin ja arvon luomisessa eri sidosryhmille.
