Additional application round to Erasmus+ student exchange for the spring semester 2025

Additional application round for an Erasmus+ exchange to Europe for the spring semester 2025 is open from  2-30 September 2024.  Selections are made on a rolling basis throughout the application period. Applications are in most cases processed in the order in which they are received and theexchange spots are filled in on a first come first serve basis.
 

For whom 

Erasmus student exchange is meant for JYU degree students.  

Exchange destinations  

You can browse Erasmus+ exchange destinations by faculties or countries in the  Free spaces have been marked by a green lamp. 

In general, students pursue studies in the host university that are included in their degree. You can get familiar with the host universities’ course selections on their websites. 

Language skills 

Depending on the host university, the studies are usually offered either in the language of the host country, or in English. Sufficient skills in the study language of the host university are a requirement for taking part in an Erasmus+ exchange. However, generally no language test needs to be taken in order to be accepted to the Erasmus+ program.

Mobility-Online application workshop on 9 September at 12-12:45 in OPK139

We offer a technical workshop on 9 September at 12-12.45 that is open to students of all faculties.  Welcome to join if you are not quite sure how to navigate Mobility Online or you wish to create your application from the start to the end with the caring guidance of the international coordinators. 

Please note that in the workshop no guidance will be given on where to apply. Do check out the faculty-specific Erasmus guides first and see from the what exchange spots are still available. 

Erasmus+ grants and expenses 

Every student accepted to the Erasmus+ program gets an Erasmus+ grant. Additionally, if you are entitled to Finnish student financial aid, you can receive the Finnish financial aid for students and student loan from KELA when you are abroad. Students with special needs can apply for a special needs and inclusion grant.  Students with fewer opportunities get an additional 250€ per month. You can also get a green travel top-up. Studying in Erasmus+ host university is free of charge. The biggest expenses during an exchange come from accommodation, food and traveling expenses.
