How to apply for a degree
After you have completed all compulsory studies in your degree programme, a green notification bar will pop up at the top of the Structure of studies page, and the degree programme's headline will have a rosette icon on the right side of the study plan. You can start applying for a degree by clicking the rosette icon (or from the degree programme's brochure by clicking the blue code link of your degree programme, e.g. PSYKA2020 and Graduation).
Note that the contents of your degree will be awarded according to what your study plan contains the moment you apply for a degree. Take care that your study plan includes any and all studies you wish to have included in your degree, and that they are under the right modules or headlines before applying. Don't forget to remove (or move from BA to MA) any studies you wish to exclude from your degree. Any changes you make to your study plan after requesting graduation will not transfer over to your application, so you have to cancel your previous request and make a new one after making changes. You can find your request through your study plan or from My profile under Applications and decisions.
Request graduation by clicking the blue Submit graduation request button at the bottom of the application page.
If you are graduating from an education with one phase, or the second phase of a two-phased education, you will be asked if you want to join the alumni register. This information is imported to the alumni register automatically starting spring 2022. If you wish to join the alumni register immediately after graduating, join by registering directly at the . Otherwise your information will be transferred to the alumni register automatically once a direct connection between Sisu and the stakeholder portal is built during spring 2022.
Together with the graduation request Sisu creates and sends individual module evaluation requests to their responsible persons. Evaluating individual modules in their responsible faculties might take some time, so leaving module evaluation until graduation might mean that granting a degree takes longer. Therefore it is recommended to request evaluation right as you have completed the module's requirements. Note that Communication & Language studies and Optional studies are evaluated as part of the graduation request. Therefore evaluation request for those modules is not needed beforehand.

If you have completed all required studies, but cannot apply for a degree, check these:

If your study plan has selections against the rules you cannot apply for a degree. Apply for approval for any changes you have made in your study plan using free edit mode, or edit your plan to match the degree structure so that it is no longer against the rules. If you are not sure where the problem in your plan is located go through these instructions and contact your .
All my studies are completed but the rosette icon or notification bar do not appear
Make sure your plan does not include any courses that haven't been completed. Additionally make sure that any courses you wish to have included in your degree have been added to the study plan.
Make sure that the right study plan is set as primary. You can set the plan as primary from the three dot menu at the upper right corner of the Structure of studies page.
My application was sent with wrong or missing contents/I changed my study plan after applying for a degree/There is a mistake in my degree attainment
You may cancel your application through your study plan or from My profile under Applications and decisions as long as the application is not in progress or accepted. After cancelling you can make any required changes to your study plan and reapply for a degree. If the degree application handler notices mistakes or missing contents in your application they may reject the application, and write instructions on how to fix the situation and send a new application.

Applying for a degree when some credits are missing
It is possible to make a request for graduation even if all studies have not yet been completed. You can make a request for graduation by clicking on the blue code link of the degree in your study plan.
Go to Graduation on the brochure and select Request for graduation.
