Adding completed courses to the personal study plan
Table of contents
Once a course is completed and registered, the completed course with its grade and ECTS transfers to Sisu. When a course or study module that is already included in the degree structure is completed and the completion has been registered, Sisu automatically shows a laurel and grade next to the course.

Adding completed courses
If the course is not already a part of the study plan structure you can include these completed courses in your study plan. You may add them in by clicking the blue Add to the plan -tab on the left side of the study plan view.

The Add to the plan function allows you to add completed studies to any part of the study plan that does not have a predefined structure. These can be any elective or optional categories. By clicking the blue arrow next to the name of the completed course on the Add to the plan tab the system automatically suggests any elective or optional subheadings where the course could be added to. This subheading can be changed by clicking Add here on another subheading. Finally the selection is confirmed by clicking Confirm in the selection assistant on the right side of the page.

If there is a need to replace a course or a module that exists in the predefined structure with an already completed and registered one, this has to be done through the free edit mode by choosing Add a course you have already completed. Choose the module or subheading you wish to add the completed course to, and open Free edit mode under the three-dot menu of the selection assistant. The top of the selection assistant shows an orange bar with a little magic wand icon. Under the Courses heading and the search bar click Add a course you have already completed. This opens up a list of completed and registered courses that don't have placed in the structure yet. In the same selection assistant you may also remove compulsory courses that have been predefined as parts of that module or subheading should you wish to replace one of these courses with an already completed one. Modules that have been completed elsewhere are registered as courses in the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥, so modules are also added to the plan through the Add a course you have already completed -function.
Any changes made in the free edit mode require applying for approval by choosing Apply for approval in the top section of the selection assistant. Further instructions on using the free edit mode can be found in the Free edit mode instructions. Replacing a course through using the Substitutions tab (see paragraph below) does not require applying for approval. Make sure that the course you want to replace with a completed one does not already have a substitution option before you start replacing the course through the free edit mode.
Equivalent courses
In the course information brochure, the Equivalences field of the Substitutions tab describes if the course can be substituted with another course. If you want to complete or have already completed a corresponding course and want to substitute the course in the study plan with it, select the substituting course. Now the selected course is visible in the structure instead of the original one. Substituting courses are indicated with an arrow symbol in the course icon. To edit your selection, click the arrow symbol and then Edit.
