Other certificates of study modules

The non-degree certificate states that you have completed a study programme leading to teacher qualification (at least 60 ECTS credits) or a specialisation programme.
Please note, that the primary way to prove you have completed a certain study module is with the transcript of records, as it states the same information a separate certificate would. However, if your employer or other administrative direction does not accept the transcript of records as an official certificate, a non-degree certificate can be given.
A non-degree certificate can be issued only if the studies have been completed as part of a separate study right and are not included in the degree. If the studies leading to the qualification have been incorporated into the academic degree, the information on the teacher qualifications will be mentioned in the certificate. In this case, you do not need a separate certificate for these studies.
A separate certificate can be issued for the following:
- APO Pedagogical Studies in Adult Education, 60 ECTS credits
- EO Non-Degree Studies for Special Education Teachers, 60 ECTS credits
- ERKO Specialisation Education in Social Work
- OPED Pedagogical Studies for Teachers, 60 ECTS credits
- OPO Non-Degree Studies for Study Counsellors, 60 ECTS credits
- URAERKO Specialisation Education in Career Guidance and Counselling , 30 ECTS credits
- VAAM Non-Degree Studies for Early Childhood Education Teachers, 60 ECTS credits
Ordering the certificate
- The study programme must be fully completed and a summary found in Sisu. Request a summary of the study programme in SISU.
- You can request a separate certificate using available in the HelpJYU portal. Please select "Certificate of studies completed with separate study right" from the form's drop down menu.
- The non-degree certificate will be delivered as a PDF file via HelpJYU. The certificate has been validated using the Digital and Population Data Services Agency’s electronic certificate. The delivery time for the certificate is approximately three weeks.
