Updating your personal details and contact information

Keeping your personal details and contact information up-to-date in the student register is important. Please notify the Student Service Desk of any changes to your personal details. You can manage your contact details in the OMA service.

Change of name and other personal data

If your name has changed or you have been issued a Finnish personal identity code, please fill in the on HelpJYU and add an official document of the changed data as an attachment. All attachments will be automatically removed from the service request once it has been completed.

Your JYU username will remain the same even if your name changes. If you wish to change your student email address, you may do it in the .

The new name will be updated automatically to your digital student card once it has been changed in the student register of the university. If you wish to order a new plastic student card, you can do it on the .

Updating your contact information

Please update your contact information in the . From there, your postal address, phone number and email address will be updated to all university systems automatically. The university library has its own client register, so please also remember to update your contact information there by filling in the form on HelpJYU.

PLEASE NOTE! It is important to keep the default email address for student affiliation updated in . All emails by the university will be sent to this address.
