The Faculty of Education and Psychology's Financial Support for Internship is meant for EDUMA and DEICO (Specialisation in Education) students who are doing an internship in Finland and do not get any other financial support or salary for the internship.
The Faculty's Financial Support for Internship will be awarded to selected students who meet the prerequisites and who will complete their internship by the end of the year 2025.
Application Procedure
- Application period: 1–28 February 2025
- Decisions will be available by 21 March 2025
- The number of Faculty’s Financial Support for Internship awarded: 1
- The Faculty's internship support grant in 2025: EUR 1200 for a two-month internship
Application Prerequisites and Conditions
Eligible applicant:
- must be an EDUMA student or a DEICO student (with Specialisation in Education) who will complete their degree at the Faculty of Education and Psychology.
- has no prior internship as a part of their studies.
Conditions for the internship:
- The internship meets the requirements set for the internship.
- The internship placement is in Finland.
- The internship must be completed during the year 2025 (1 January – 31 December 2025).
- Student does not receive other significant financial support for the internship.
Other considerations:
- The student who receives the support needs to be registered as attending the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ for the period of the internship.
Internship support cannot be awarded:
- for students who have already completed their internship.

- for students who receive some other financial support or salary for the internship.
How to Apply?
Free-form applications must be delivered to university teacher Salla Määttä via email by 28 February 2025, 4 p.m.
The following information must be included in the application:
- Name and contact information (including email)
- Master's degree programme
- A letter of intent explaining the reasons why you should receive the Faculty’s Financial Support for Internship:
When and where have you planned to complete the internship? How does the internship support your studies, development of your expertise, and career goals? What do you want to learn or achieve? Why are you applying for the Faculty's Financial Support for Internship?
- Please include a signed letter or email from your employer confirming your placement. The letter should be emailed by the employer to Salla Määttä by the application deadline.
Please note that you cannot make any changes to the application once you have submitted it.
Decisions on the Support
Only the applications that have arrived within the given deadline will be evaluated.
Applicants that meet the prerequisites are ranked by the following criteria:
- Relevance of the internship in relation to the applicant’s studies and development of one’s expertise.
- Relevance of the reasons for applying for the Faculty's Financial Support for Internship.
- Total number of ECTS credits completed for the degree and study success.
The selection process will be completed by 21 March 2025. Applicants will be informed of the decisions by email.
Please note that according to the University Act (558/2009, Section 84 /1) the decisions on grants may not be appealed.
