Subject associations

Subject association activities
Tutors and subject association representatives organise various group-building events for new students. In a subject association, you can also get to know students from other year classes. Besides events for the new students, subject associations organise various get-together parties, gatherings, and annual celebrations. Some subject association events are also cross-disciplinary, extending beyond the boundaries of a specific association. Many subject associations have their own or shared facilities on campus where the members can meet and spend time together.
Along with various events and activities, the subject associations help promote their members’ shared interests, offer a variety of benefits, and provide opportunities for influence. Many students participate in sports activities offered by their subject association or try out new ones. Other students are interested in cultural activities, with some subject associations offering band sessions, trips to the theatre, and more.
Several subject associations also offer assistance for your future careers, such as workplace visits in their respective fields. Subject association alumni may also be useful links to working life.
In joint extracurricular events, students of different subject associations can be distinguished by the colour of their overalls.
How to join the activities
Subject association activities are open to all members. Subject association membership is usually limited to the students majoring in a specific subject or field, but some associations also accept membership based on having the same subject as a minor. You can have your say by seeking an active role as an official or board member of your subject association. You can join a subject association by contacting them:
