A certificate of student status is a document of your study rights. The certificate lists the study rights, their periods of validity and any attendance records.
Downloading the certificate of student status from Sisu
The electronically signed certificate of student status is an official document, which you can download yourself from Sisu. In order to download it, you must have an active JYU user account. If your account is no longer active, . After that, you will be able to sign in to Sisu within one hour.
Once you are logged in to Sisu, go to My profile and choose the Study rights tab. You can form the certificate by clicking on the Form a certificate of student status button in the upper right corner.
During the creation of the PDF file, a yellow notification banner is shown at the top of the page. After the certificate has been created, this notification banner turns green, and has a clickable Download the PDF -link in it. The certificate can be downloaded or opened in browser.

If you open the electronically signed certificate of student status with Adobe Acrobat Reader, the program will ask you to install the certificates if necessary. At the end of the certificate, you will find a separate text. If the certificate creation has failed and there is no electronic certificate on the document, the file's header will read Unofficial certificate of student status. In this case, please try downloading the certificate again and, if necessary, contact the Student Service Desk.
