As part of the Year of Sivistys 2024 events, the touring exhibition of the Science Center Soppi will visit different parts of Finland. The exhibition will be on display in the Soihtu Exhibition Centre from 3 May to 1 June 2024.
The Science Center Soppi’s touring exhibition offers perspectives on learning, education and knowledge and highlights their importance in the renewal of Finnish society. The exhibition takes a many-sided approach to the theme from the perspectives of lifelong learning, equality and sustainable living. In addition to the past and present, the exhibition also looks to the future.
The content of Soppi’s touring exhibition is based on research and has been produced in collaboration with a wide range of experts. The target audience includes teachers, students, policymakers, non-governmental organisations and anyone interested in the theme of education and knowledge.
In addition to the touring exhibition, it is also possible to dive into the imaginative world of Hugo Simberg (1873–1917)&²Ô²ú²õ±è;in a virtual exhibition produced by the Finnish National Gallery. The virtual environment offers a unique experience where everything is at once strange and familiar. The virtual exhibition presents Simberg’s light-sensitive, paper-based gouache paintings, which are subject to many limitations when displayed in a traditional exhibition space. The exhibition is explored using the VR headset.
You are welcome to delve into the depths of learning, education and knowledge in the touring exhibition of the Science Center for Education and Learning Soppi!
