Are you seeking inspiration for designing or updating your strategy? Are seeking direction for your development activities? Do you want to get a front-row seat to the future of health and well-being monitoring?

Join the discussion at the Alvar Aalto Museum (Alvar Aallonkatu 7) and bring your own ideas to the table at the Future of Health Technologies Workshop, where we will create visions and paths for the future of the industry's market. After the preliminary vision speeches every participant has the opportunity to jump in in creating the future.

The workshop is specifically designed for representatives of the business world and those working in innovative research and development, and is open to all those interested in health technology, healthcare, and mental health care pathways. This is a great opportunity to talk with researchers, other businesses and experts about the newest research knowledge and development trajectories of technology.

The workshop is organized alongside the Brains and Bodies in Social Interaction, Learning and Wellbeing conference, taking place 11 - 14 June. Join us in hearing about the newest research. The link to the event is at the bottom of this page.

Workshop outcome

The Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥'s Centre for Interdisciplinary Brain Research (CIBR) and Brain & Mind research network offer cutting-edge infrastructure and expertise for multichannel measurement of human-generated signals. The large-scale DIGIMIND project, which began last year, provides insights into their applicability for monitoring health and well-being. In this workshop, various experts with diverse backgrounds will gather around a common table to create pathways for the future health technology market.

The workshop will have vision speeches from a leading expert in serious health conditions, Maria Ameel (HUS), a top researcher with several pioneering projects, Seppo Vainio (University of Oulu), and an experienced data and analytics expert from the area of , Teemu Ekola (Tietoevry). The DIGIMIND project's top experts, researchers Lauri Parkkonen (Aalto University) and Tiina Parviainen (Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥), will also bring their own visions to the table. The workshop will be facilitated by Nicholas Marsh, project manager of DIGIMIND and experienced facilitator in strategic foresight methods.

It will be possible to network with participants after the workshop from 7 pm to 8 pm. We will share the written output of the workshop with all interested participants.

So what is DIGIMIND?

The project aims to generate knowledge from (neuro)physiological measurement data that can be utilized as an indicator of psychophysiological well-being. Such information could be employed, for instance, in healthcare services and healthcare as part of digital care pathways or as a tool for personalized monitoring in a wide range of applications, including well-being apps. The project brings together expertise in physiological and neurophysiological recordings, signal processing, and machine learning-based classification. DIGIMIND is supported by a diverse group of companies in its steering group and follows the leading companies and ecosystems roadmap of Tietoevry Oyj with its development activities.
