We warmly welcome all doctoral researchers working on sustainability-related topics—across all disciplines—to join the planning session for our upcoming doctoral seminar course, officially launching in Autumn 2025!

This session kicks off the planning phase for the course. We’ll develop seminar themes for the autumn together—so come share your ideas and help shape the course from the start!

We’ll also hear about the well-being services available for doctoral researchers at the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥.

What is the doctoral seminar course?

The course offers a collaborative, peer-supported learning environment where participants develop both research-related competencies and broader transferable skills essential for academic and societal engagement. It’s also a great opportunity to network with fellow researchers across disciplines and to learn how to communicate your work to audiences from different academic backgrounds.

The seminar will meet at least once per month and feature a dynamic mix of thematic discussions, peer presentations, interactive workshops, and expert guest sessions.

The course consists of (minimum) monthly seminar sessions facilitated by the course coordinator, with themes presented by doctoral researchers or invited experts. Sessions may include short lectures, research presentations, group discussions, co-creative exercises, and skill-building workshops. Key values of the course include:

  • Peer learning
  • Interdisciplinary dialogue
  • Professional development
  • Co-created content: Seminar themes are developed together with the participants to ensure relevance and impact.

Join this event to connect with peers in sustainability research and help build something meaningful together!
