Welcome to the launch event of the policy paper "Confronting Climate Change in the Sundarbans in Coastal India and Bangladesh" on 26.2.2025 from 2PM to 4PM (EET) on Zoom!

The policy paper is published in . In the paper, Sirpa Tenhunen, Mohammad Jasim Uddin and Dayabati Roy examine the development of sustainable livelihoods in the Sundarbans, a coastal region of India and Bangladesh that is vulnerable to the effects of climate change. The Sundarbans is one of the largest endangered mangrove ecosystems that effectively stores carbon dioxide and protects coastal areas from cyclones. 

Experts from India and Bangladesh will comment on the recommendations at the event. The event will be held in English.
