The updated Nature Conservation Act and Nature Conservation Decree came into force in Finland in June, 2023. This legislation set the principles for biodiversity offsetting in Finland. To ensure no net loss of biodiversity, offsetting must be carefully implemented. In this colloquium, the panelists will discuss biodiversity offsetting and development project licensing.
