Food packaging challenges and future

Since the European Green Deal was adopted by the EU, several strategies to reduce human activities impacts on environment and health have been envisaged, and consequently regulations appear to limit those due to the plastics and packaging materials. This presentation explains the evolution of strategies, the targets expected, and solutions envisaged, and points out reality of actions and results (hopes and facts).
A European collective scientific expertise on the impacts of plastics in agriculture and food/nutrition have been finalized last May 2025 and main data and conclusions will be presented.
A fast summary of our research unit activities will also be given.
