County Administrative Board of Norrbotten, CABN, hosted LIFE Revives follow-up meeting
In the end of August, the partners within LIFE Revives gathered in Storforsen, Norrbotten, Sweden to meet project鈥檚 official monitor and supervisor, Camilla. On the first day long and intensive discussions regarding the progress of the project took place.
The second day was spent outdoors, looking at some of the actions that the Swedish partners have performed in Pite盲lven and Byske盲lven areas; blocked ditches in River Svanab盲cken, mitigation of migration barriers in River Bergmyrb盲cken and River Hundtr盲skb盲cken and river restoration with excavator in River Nuortejaureb盲cken.
The field day ended by visiting River Laxtj盲rnb盲cken, where restoration with wooden material has taken place. There was also a great opportunity to look at one of the projects target species, the freshwater pearl mussel!
