I graduated with a social work bachelor's degree in 2012 from the university of social welfare and rehabilitation sciences, Tehran, Iran. I participated in the courses such as community development, women and human rights, and social work theories in practice. I also achieved my Honours degree of master's in 2015 from the same university. As my master's thesis, I initiated an intervention to improve the quality of life of caregivers of children with cancer. It made my connection with the health care system so that I worked in a hospital for two years. In parallel, I volunteered for an environmental NGO and developed a systematic review of "Green social work" in Persian. After my master's graduation, my interest in community social work led me to work as a social work officer of a transdisciplinary project to empower deprived people in the margin of cities.

My main research interests include community development in urban and rural areas, sustainability, and ecosocial work.

The ASTRA project of mine is study of Ecosocial work in the context of water management. The water-related issue is getting challenging in today's world and is related to environmental and social justice. I believe filling the gap between research and practice is crucial for modern social work.
