Learning outcomes
After the course the student understands in practice the basic principles of the production and purification of proteins. He/She can utilise several physical chemical methods to characterise biomolecules. He/She is able to interpret measured data and is capable choose a suitable method for a particular characterisation need of a biomolecule.
Study methods
Laboratory work (attendance compulsory) and reporting.
Content
Protein production and purification. Characterisation methods of biomolecules. Data-analysis.

Practical laboratory instructions.
Assessment criteria
Participation and activity of the laboratory works. Laboratory notebook.
Written report.
Prerequisites
Bachelor studies of biology or similar studies.
