Tutors can gain 2 ECTS upon tutoring. A written report about tutoring after summer school is required.

JSS Tutor will guide international students and lecturers to right places during the Jyv盲skyl盲 Summer School. The tasks and role of each individual tutor can be agreed upon with the course coordinator and lecturer, depending on the requirements of the course in question. The tasks can include e.g. the following:
- Copying lecture notes for course participants and assisting during classes and demo lessons
- Meeting the lecturer and helping with their hosting
- Getting the course participants and lecturers acquainted with Jyv盲skyl盲 and the Finnish culture
- Helping with the organization of social program events
