On completion of this course the student will be able to
- identify and describe the major theoretical frameworks both in cross-cultural and intercultural communication research
- critically analyze, compare and evaluate earlier studies and research applications
- relate theoretical insights into day-to-day intercultural communication and provide adequate analyses.

The aim of this course is to increase the intercultural knowledge and awareness of the students, and furthermore to analyze and critically discuss the main approaches in intercultural communication and related fields.

Passing the course requires completion of all required assignments in line with stated learning outcomes. An 80% attendance requirement is applied.
