On completion of this course the student
- understands how cultural identities are articulated in literature and how literature contributes to the construction of collective identities
- is able to analyse literary texts and trace the complexities and intersections of identities in multicultural contexts
- understands the role of English as a world language in the construction of literatures worldwide.
