Osaamistavoitteet
After completing the course the student will be able to
- identify basic assumptions about international management and leadership
- recognize key differences in business and operational practices between countries
- evaluate the skills needed to manage and work effectively in different environments and with persons with diverse background
- develop reflective skepticism towards “knowledge claims” of management studies, practicing managers, media, and the general public.

This course introduces the participant to international management as ideas, discourses, and socially constructed practices. The course deals with the challenges that managers of both domestic and international businesses face in managing across national boundaries, and the foundational factors that shape communication.

Passing the course requires completion of all required assignments in line with stated learning outcomes. An 80% attendance requirement is applied.
